CLC holds memorial ceremony with Naval Station Great Lakes

The sixth annual College of Lake County Memorial Day ceremony took place at noon Friday at the college’s Willow Lake Veterans Memorial on the Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St.

The outdoor ceremony sponsored by the CLC Veterans Memorial Task Force Committee was held with the help of staff from Naval Station Great Lakes.

The training center provided a chaplain, color guard, echo buglers, the 13 folds of the flag ceremony, along with the U.S. Marine Corps drill team. The ceremony included speakers, bagpipers and the singing of the national anthem by Kamila Lada, a senior at Round Lake High School.
