Casey's Safe Haven in Elburn opened it doors in June to rescue, rehab and rehome equines and ponies needing a second chance. It is a new 501(c)3 nonprofit horse rescue organization in the St. Charles/Elburn area.

They currently have five ponies and one horse in the adoption program. We have five additional horses on a waiting list to enter the program. We have a truely amazing evening planned to raise funds for the horse rescue in the "Galloping to the Rescue" silent auction and benefit to be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6

Scout, pictured in the photo, earned his living by providing pony rides for children for many years. The ponies in our care range in age from early 20s to early 30s and have provided thousand of children with their first pony ride and for many a lifetime love of horses. They accepted them in the rehabilitation program and hope to soon have him healthy enough to place in a new home. Your support of the benefit will help make this possible.

Please consider joining us on October 6th. RSVP by calling cathy at 630-292-3210 or e-mail cathy.klink@caseysil.org. Visit www.caseysil.org to learn more about the ponies and horses in our care.
