Veteran’s Memorial benefit:

A carwash is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, July 15 at the College of Lake County Grayslake campus to benefit the College of Lake County Veterans memorial monument, the U.S. Marines Family Readiness Program, the U.S. Navy First Class Association, Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. The carwash will be held in parking lot 3 by the Washington Street soccer field at University Center Drive and Lancer Lane. For a donation, community members will get their car washed and get a free hot dog lunch. Hot dogs, chips and drinks are being donated by Dawg’s Corn of Round Lake.
