COD seeks members for summer chamber orchestra

The College of DuPage Chamber Orchestra is seeking players for its 2011 summer program.

The orchestra includes both students and community members and is offered as a one-credit course. Group members rehearse weekly and perform under the direction of Dan Pasquale D'Andrea.

The group's first rehearsal is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, June 6, at the McAninch Arts Center at the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Chamber orchestra members perform several concerts on the MAC Mainstage. Additionally, the orchestra hosts guest artists, giving members a chance to perform with some of the area's finest musicians.

Auditions are not required to join, and members enjoy rotating, flexible seating, giving everyone an opportunity to play a solo or first part.
