Rampton Bible Study Group at Naperville Church of Christ Helps Needy Children with School Supplies

CAROL STREAM, IL –The Rampton Bible Study Group of the Naperville Church of Christ has helped the Humanitarian Service Project (HSP) of Carol Stream reach out to needy students by donating $300 and school supplies to HSP's School Supply Drive. The donation was an expression of one of the group's goals to equip students with what they need to succeed in the classroom. The group has been supporting HSP's School Supply Drive since 2007. The Rampton Bible Study Group is a part of the Naperville Church of Christ family, located at 2035 75th Street in Naperville.

Karole Kettering, Co-Founder and Executive Director at HSP, said “HSP is thrilled to have the Rampton Bible Study Group supporting us yet again. Their support has helped reach students in desperate need, and they are a group that really puts their beliefs into practice.” The group's donation supported HSP's initiative to supply school children in Dupage and Kane Counties whose families lack the resources to fully provide them with the supplies they need for the school year.

About the Humanitarian Service Project

Founded in 1979, HSP's mission is to alleviate the pain and suffering that poverty creates in seniors and children living in DuPage and Kane counties, Illinois. Last year during the Christmas Offering Project, 1,264 children received gifts and 150 impoverished families received three weeks of groceries, frozen meats, and fresh produce. With the Senior Citizen Project, HSP provides a monthly food delivery and secret pal gifts to 120 low-income seniors. The Children's Birthday Project reaches the youngest underprivileged, making birthdays and Christmas truly memorable occasions for 700 children. Feed the Kids provides 100 low-income families with groceries and fresh produce during the summer months. HSP conducts an annual school supplies drive that benefited a total of 5,200 children by giving supplies to the DuPage Back to School Fair and directly to schools and individual children.
