Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital hosts holiday party for pediatric oncology patients
Each December, the cafeteria at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield turns into a fun and festive party for pediatric patients who have been treated for cancer.
An opportunity to forget about their illness for a few hours, patients and their families were invited to feast on kid-friendly fare such as chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese, indulge in the dessert bar, make holiday crafts to take home, decorate cookies, and visit Santa.
The Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, 25 N. Winfield Road, treats children with most types of cancers and offers specialized services to cope with the related emotional, social and developmental challenges.
