'Broadway Ballot' musical benefit for Wheaton Drama

On stage at Wheaton Drama's Playhouse 111 from Aug. 17 to 19 is "Broadway Ballot", a Broadway musical revue. This interactive revue features songs from musicals either that are new to Wheaton Drama, or which have not been performed at Wheaton Drama in the last ten years.

"Anything Goes", "Big River", "Hair", "Pippin", "My Fair Lady", "She Loves Me", "Sweeney Todd", "The Full Monty", "The Music Man", and "Urinetown" are just some of the shows with songs in the revue.

Craig Gustafson is directing. The musical director is Hayden Ashley. Choreographers are Tracy Adams, Harmony Barry, Tori Marie Cahn, Katy Smith, and George Zima. Bruce Ebner is production manager.

The "Broadway Ballot" cast includes: Stan Austin, Garrett Ard, Anthony Berg, Ben Dooley, Lisa Dawn Foertsch, Terry Foster, Zach Gibson, Craig Gustafson, Melissa Heeres, Dee Hicks, Ken Kaden, Randy Knott, Sara Malloy, Meg McGarry, Fletcher Ogren, Sande Ogren, Sean Ogren, David Pfenninger, Barb Rieger, Julie Rodgers-Baker, Michelle Rollins, Pam Turlow, Stuart Vance, and George Zima.

After enjoying the great music in "Broadway Ballot", audience members will receive a ballot so that they can vote for the songs they like the most. The completed ballots will be provided to the Wheaton Drama musical play reading committee to help guide the selection of future musicals.

As "Broadway Ballot" is a special benefit for Wheaton Drama, $5 raffle tickets will be also sold at the show. Raffle prizes will include Wheaton Drama season tickets and gift cards from Ivy of Wheaton, Muldoon's, The Bank Restaurant, Genghis Grill, Front Street Cocina, Carol's Garden Restaurant, and more!

Wheaton Drama's 2012-2013 season will include "The Heiress", "The Sound of Music", "Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure", "Full Circle", and "Into the Woods". A special production of the radio show version of "It's A Wonderful Life" plays in December.
