COD sets new student orientation sessions

College of DuPage will host three new student orientation sessions from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Aug. 11 and 12, and Monday, Aug. 15, in the McAninch Arts Center at the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The free sessions include information on Student Life, Financial Aid, Student Services and other important first year topics. Students also get the chance to meet other students, faculty and staff and enjoy a free lunch social.

“New Student Orientation is a fun and welcoming event for all our new students. It is also an important introduction to resources and information students need during their First Year Experience,” said Chuck Steele, Manager of Student Life. “We're excited to offer this opportunity to our incoming students as they begin their education here at COD.”

New students should see an adviser and register for fall classes before attending an orientation session.

Registration for New Student Orientation is required. For more details about the event, agenda, and how to register for it, please go to www.cod.edu/newstudent and click on the New Student Orientation icon.
