COD names GED scholarship winners

The College of DuPage Adult Basic Education/General Education Development office recently announced winners of the 2010 GED Scholarship.

This year's recipients are Jason Milazzo of Westmont and Piotr Olejarski of Wheaton.

The GED Scholarship was established in 1991 to help program graduates financially as they continue their education. The $500 awards are to be used for tuition, fees, books or supplies at COD any time during the following year.

Additionally, Milazzo was named among this year's five Outstanding Achievement Graduates, recognized for earning 3,000 or more points on the GED test. Fellow Outstanding Graduates include Nadjia Lloyd of Downers Grove, Dyan Stotts of Wood Dale, Nicholas Joseph Stuart of Naperville and Jose Vargas of Glendale Heights.
