First meeting of 'Autismerica' scheduled for Jan. 12

College of DuPage Counseling Services and Special Student Services will host the first meeting of “Autismerica” on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. in SRC 1750 (adjacent to the Office of Student Life).

Autismerica is a newly formed informational, educational and social group at College of DuPage for COD students and their families. After strong attendance at the first two “Autism Night” meetings in November and December, Autismerica has decided to host regular meetings this spring.

These free sessions will take place the second week of each month, alternating between Wednesdays and Thursdays to accommodate as many student schedules as possible.

The evenings will include short, educational programs, followed by an opportunity for parents and students to socialize.
