Annuitants back COD referendum

The College of DuPage Annuitants Association (CDAA) Board of Directors endorses the College of DuPage No-Tax-Rate-Increase bond referendum on the Nov. 2 ballot.

While providing exemplary programs, training, course and community-based activities for the residents of District 502, COD has excelled at maintaining sound fiscal standards to optimize the utilization of resources. Preventive maintenance and preservation of the campus infrastructure are essential in assuring the longevity of the COD campus and its excellent facilities.

The $168 million capital referendum will fund renovation of the COD Library, McAninch Arts Center, Physical Education Building and Community Recreation Center, and provide centralized parking structure for students and community members. It will also fund expansion of the Midwest's first Homeland Security Education Center.

We support the planning by the board of trustees and President Robert L. Breuder that will position the College of DuPage to accomplish these much-needed renovations and improvements.

The CDAA board of directors encourages you to support the College of DuPage no-tax-rate-increase.
