Chicago Cub Charities hosts field experiences at Wrigley for fans (and dads) in June

Ever dream of walking through the outfield of the Friendly Confines and having an opportunity to meet your favorite Chicago Cubs player? Now's your chance. As Wrigley Field prepares for its 100 year celebration, fans have the opportunity to step on the ballpark's hallowed field in June with two unique experiences hosted by Chicago Cubs Charities.

On Tuesday, June 11th at 2:30 p.m., fans can participate in Meet The Team, Have A Ball presented by Bank of America. This annual event provides the opportunity for Cubs fans to walk on the outfield grass, see their name on the Wrigley Field scoreboard and collect autographs from 2013 Cubs players and coaches in attendance. Admission includes an authentic MLB baseball, ball cube and a ballpark snack.

On Sunday, June 16th (Father's Day) beginning at 12pm, fans can participate in Catch In The Confines presented by Advocate Children's Hospital, where they can spend 50-minutes throwing the ball in the outfield, running bases, visiting the batting cage or chatting in the dugouts of Wrigley. Admission includes a commemorative t-shirt, photograph, baseball and lunch. For family and friends that want to watch participants, guest tickets are available and include access to stadium and lunch. Currently time slots available are 1pm and 2pm with more being added if necessary.

“These events are a fun and unique way for fans of all ages to experience Wrigley Field and the Cubs up close and the great work of Chicago Cubs Charities. Funds raised through these two events will benefit at-risk youth and families in our community,” explains Laura Ricketts.
