The two parts in Love Letters are:

Melissa: middle-aged woman

Andy: middle-aged man

Articulate diction and excellent reading skills are essential to both roles.

piece, comedy/drama, that you can read to show your ability to express

emotion and character range.

SYNOPSIS:

This play is a unique and imaginative theatre piece. The play is comprised

of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two well-to-do people who grew

up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences.

As the actors read the letters aloud, what is created is an evocative,

touching, frequently funny but always telling pair of character studies in

which what is implied is as revealing and meaningful as what is actually

written down.

PERFORMANCE DATES: Love Letters will be performed on June 14, 15, 16, 21,

22, 23, 28, 29, and 30, 2013.

Rehearsal schedule to be determined by participants.

This program is funded in part by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a

state agency.

Produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service.
