Montini Catholic recognizes Lasallian excellence with two special faculty/staff awards

Montini Catholic awarded assistant campus minister and theology teacher Kelly Davis with their prestigious Lasallian Educators Award for 2021.

Each year, Montini's administrative team presents the award to a faculty/administration member who truly represents and practices the Lasallian Spirit of education with both their colleagues and students.

Davis has been a member of the Bronco family since 2006 - playing a key role in the Christian formation of Bronco students as a member of the theology department. She is co-director of Montinis' Kairos Retreats and also coordinates the Sophomore Day of Service retreats which takes our young Lasallians throughout the community to provide service to local charities, churches and food banks. She truly lives the Lasallian mission of service to others.

Alumna Michelle Ptak O'Connor, Class of 1988, is the recipient of Montini's first-ever Lasallian Partner Award for her hard work and dedication.

The award was created to honor a staff member, assistant, coach, or volunteer who also represents and practices the Lasallian Spirit of education. Michelle began her Bronco career in 1998 and currently works alongside President Jim Segredo in the Development Department. She is instrumental in the success of Montini's many special events, including the Bronco Classic Golf Outing and Maroon & Gold Gala. She also runs the Annual Fund, assists alumni in organizing class reunions and has taken on the responsibility of producing several e-newsletters (Montini Matters, Bronco Bytes and special announcements). Michelle oversees the Bronco website and database, assists with social media and played a vital role in all avenues of communication with members of Montini's school community throughout the Covid crisis.

They received their awards on Friday, May 21, during Montini Catholic's Founder's Day ceremony.
