People's Resource Center to host 6th annual Career Fair June 10 and 17

The People's Resource Center Job Assistance Program is hosting its sixth annual Career Fair on two dates in June.

The first career fair will be held in-person on Thursday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to noon. The second will be held virtually (via Zoom) on Thursday, June 17 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Both events are open to the public. Registration is free and required for participation.

The June 10 in-person event will be held at Ty Warner Park pavilion, 700 Blackhawk Drive in Westmont. Job fair attendees can park on the west parking lot along Burr Oak Avenue. If the parking lot is full, street parking is allowed.

In accordance with CDC guidelines for event capacity, there will 50 time slots open each 90-minute session for job seekers to attend the event. COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed at this event. Participants must wear a mask or bandana/scarf covering their mouth and nose throughout the event.

Hiring companies include: Buck Services, Crate & Barrel, FedEx, First Student, Goodwill, The Hire Solution, Loyola Medicine, Mariano's, Northern Illinois Food Bank, NOW Foods, Ray Graham Association, Villa Park Elementary District 45, Seniors Helping Seniors, Snug and Comfort Homecare, US Foods, and Westmont Public Library.

A Zoom link for the June 17 event will be provided as the event date nears. Be sure and provide an email address and/or phone number during registration. You also will have the chance to talk to a LinkedIn expert.

Hiring companies include: Amazon, Crate & Barrel, FedEx, First Student, Goodwill, Hamdard Center for Health and Human Services, NFP, Loyola Medicine, Mariano's, Northern Illinois Food Bank, NOW Foods, Pride Industries, R.R. Donnelley, Ray Graham Association, and workNet DuPage.

Additional employers will be added as the event nears.
