Make end-of-year donation to Friends of the Forest Preserve District

The Forest Preserve District works tirelessly throughout DuPage County to restore habitats and protect rare, threatened and endangered plants and animals every day.

Thanks to donors, the Friends of the Forest Preserve District is able to help the district steward nearly 26,000 acres and countless wild species in DuPage forest preserves.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the forest preserves have seen record numbers of visitors hitting the trails to get the most from the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of nature. This increase in crowds - coupled with the need to significantly adjust operations because of the pandemic - made 2020 an exceptional year for the forest preserves, which is why nature needs your help more than ever.

You can make a year-end tax-deductible donation this holiday season to help ensure much-needed conservation work will continue and grow in the coming year.

Thanks to the community's generosity, they have raised $12,985, as of Dec. 23. The goal is $25,000.

Go to www.dupageforest.org/donate and select one of the designated programs, donate to your favorite forest preserve or center, or make an undesignated gift where the need is greatest. Make your gift online or by check made payable to the Friends of the Forest Preserve District and mail to: Forest Preserve District Headquarters at Danada, 3S580 Naperville Road, Wheaton, IL 60189.

Gifts of any amount are always welcomed and valued. A gift to the Friends of the Forest Preserve District is tax-deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County raises funds to support the Forest Preserve District through private, corporate and civic philanthropy to accelerate the restoration of habitats, safeguard the protection of native plants and animals, and provide nature-based opportunities for people in perpetuity.
