College of DuPage to offer free dental care for children next month

The Dental Hygiene Clinic at College of DuPage will offer a variety of free dental services for school-age children from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, in the Health and Science Center, Room 1122, on the college campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

In collaboration with the American Dental Association Foundation's Give Kids a Smile program, the clinic will offer free cleanings, exams, X-rays and school forms for children age 4 to 12.

Appointment scheduling will begin in January.

Parents must bring any current X-rays and be present during the entire appointment. Call (630) 942-3250 to make an appointment.

The Dental Hygiene Clinic provides state-of-the-art training and hands-on experience to students while providing valuable services to the community at a discounted rate. Under the supervision of licensed dental hygiene instructors and clinical dentists, students provide a variety of preventative dental services.

The clinic also offers a 25% discount to COD faculty and employees, as well as seniors, age 65 and older. Military or veterans and COD students are free.
