Annual recycling event to benefit DuPage County students in need

Recycle electronics and shred sensitive documents during DuPage Credit Union's seventh annual "Drive, Drop & Donate" event to benefit DuPage County students in need from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 19, at its Naperville Operations Center, 1515 Bond St.

Electronic recycling and document shredding are provided by Citadel.

The donation to shred or recycle is $10 per service, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Credit Union's We've Got Your Back fundraiser to help local students in need. Both cash and credit will be accepted; please place cash in an envelope.

For your safety and the safety of the credit union team, those dropping off items are asked to please remain in their vehicles and have recyclables in their trunks.

"This year, more than ever, families in our community will need assistance starting the upcoming school year with the supplies needed to succeed," said Amy Brandt, vice president of business solutions. "Every dollar raised helps lessen the financial burden of purchasing supplies for local families struggling at this time."

School supplies purchased from the money raised will be given out to students before the start of the 2020-2021 school year at the annual Back to School Fair held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds on Aug. 5.

"We hope to see you there, come rain or shine," Brandt added.

Once again, the Rusin-Fulco Realty Group is the sponsor of Drive, Drop & Donate. To learn more, view a list of acceptable items or to make a donation online, visit dupagecu.com/ddd.
