Free grant workshops at COD

As a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center, the COD Library will host several workshops in January, including “Grantseeking Basics,” “Introduction to Corporate Giving” and “Finding Foundation Support for Your Education.” The sessions are offered free of charge and are open to the community.

Grantseeking Basics will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 in the COD Library. This introductory course provides an overview of the funding research process for organizations seeking grants from foundations, corporations and grantmaking public charities.

Introduction to Corporate Giving is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 20, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the COD Library. This session will explore the world of corporate support for nonprofits and the effective utilization of the Foundation Center's resources on corporate giving.

Finding Foundation Support for Your Education will take place on Friday, Jan. 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the COD Library. Participants will learn about tools and techniques for seeking financial support for higher education, including scholarships and funding for continuing education.
