Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale looking for new music director

The Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale, a 60-plus member auditioned community chorale, is seeking a music director.

The chorale performs a wide range of music including modern, pop, jazz, Broadway, and classical. The group recently celebrated 35 years of bringing beautiful music to the western suburbs of Chicago.

Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at College Church, 335 E. Seminary, Wheaton.

The chorale presents two concerts yearly, once during the Christmas season and again in early or mid-May.

In addition, the group customarily presents one or two outreach concerts during each season.

Greg Wheatley, the music director for the past 23 years, is moving out of the area after the spring session.

The new music director is expected to start by June in order to begin rehearsals for the fall/winter season on Sept. 7, 2021.
