Reserve your spot for Wheaton Art Walk Oct. 10-11
The Wheaton Art Walk makes it debut this year as an artful, mindful, and socially distanced art walk featuring a smaller, carefully curated group of artists in downtown Wheaton on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10-11.
There will be 100 juried artists showcasing painting, jewelry, sculpture, photographs, fashion wearables and more. The art walk, sponsored by Downtown Wheaton Association and Amdur Productions, also features food and live music.
They are limiting the number of attendees in the event at one time to assist with social distancing practices.
Admission is free though attendees must reserve a one-hour time slot for the event at www.eventbrite.com/e/wheaton-art-walk-tickets-116005695157. Art Walk hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days along North Hale Street and Karlskoga Avenue. Free parking.
There is a special opening from 9 to 10 a.m. both days for people with health compromised and or mobility issues.
VIP tickets also are available. VIP ticket holders get priority entry into the festival and can come at any time either Saturday and Sunday, depending on which ticket day they purchased. VIP tickets are $10 per day.
Attendees are required to wear face coverings while at the art walk. Festivalgoers can make a day of it in charming downtown Wheaton which boasts incredible shopping and dining experiences.
Managed by Amdur Productions, the festival hosts juried artists in downtown Wheaton and offers extraordinary examples of fine art and fine craft in a variety of mediums and price points.
Art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see the masters at work with interactive art demos and booth chats taking place all weekend long!
Only one visitor/family/friend group per art booth viewing at a time. Wait for an artist's invitation before entering a booth. Face coverings required for all visitors over 2 years of age. Please maintain a 6-foot distance from any others outside your group.
Attendees also can use noncontact purchasing by using a credit card or a cashless pay system. Follow the one way walking pay (no backtracking) and please leave pets at home.
