DuPage Crime Stoppers Offers Mobile App

The TipSubmit Mobile app for Android and iPhone users is now available. The app is the first mobile application that lets the public anonymously submit tips to Crime Stoppers or law enforcement agencies, helping solve and prevent crime.

The new mobile application augments existing tools that allow the public to submit anonymous tips via phone (1-800-222-TIPS), web (www.dupagecrimestoppers.com) and SMS Text-a-Crime-Tip (send keyword DUPAGE and any tip to CRIMES). The app offers more powerful options than SMS Text-a-Tip, because it has the ability to use GPS to auto-locate the nearest agency or select an agency manually. Members of the public can attach images and video to any tip. The app also makes it possible to establish an anonymous, ongoing, two-way dialogue and real-time chat with Crime Stoppers.

It is innovations like this that helps keep Crime Stoppers relevant, effective and at the forefront of allowing communities to help the police in solving and preventing crime globally.

There is no cost to the public to use this application. To learn more or to download visit the Android Market or iTunes App Store. Crime Stoppers wants you to remember if you
