Jeffrey Sanfilippo joins forces with Little Angels Center

The Little Angels Center for Exceptional Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Sanfilippo, CEO of John B. Sanfilippo & Son Inc. to its board of directors.

Jeffrey has been with John B. Sanfilippo & Son Inc., manufacturer and distributer of Fisher Nuts since 1991 and has served as CEO since November 2006. Prior roles include Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Vice President Sales and Marketing and General Manager West Coast Operations. Jeffrey brings not only extraordinary business experience but also extensive knowledge of nonprofit boards from his work with the Sanfilippo Foundation and Hopeful Heart Foundation Boards.

“I'm excited to join the Center for Exceptional Care Board,” said Sanfilippo. “The work they do to support Little Angels is second to none.”

The Little Angels Center for Exceptional Care is a nonprofit organization that promotes services for individuals with severe disabilities. They accomplish this by fundraising to support the residents of Little Angels, a residential facility for children and young adults with severe disabilities and complex medical needs and by operating the Cathy Freeman Center for Developmental Training, a day program for young adults with severe disabilities. Both facilities are located in Elgin.

The Center for Exceptional Care is also pleased to announce the addition of Bill Conway to the board. Conway is Regional Vice President of Human Resources with Comcast, the largest provider of cable and internet services in the country. He joined Comcast as Human Resources Manager for the Chicago West Area in September 2004 and was later promoted to Region Director. Prior to Comcast, Bill held several HR leadership positions with ComEd. Bill also serves on the board of directors for the Otis Wilson Foundation.

“It's an honor to serve on this board,” said Conway. “The work this staff does is phenomenal and I'm pleased to be a part of a team that provides this extraordinary level of care and service.”

“The expertise and resources Jeffrey and Bill bring to our board are invaluable,” said Bill Stade, board president. “With their broad experience, we will further strengthen our organization and hopefully be able to expand our already large circle of loyal supporters.”
