COD to mail new publication to residents

Starting the week of Feb. 14, College of DuPage households will receive "impact," a colorful new publication featuring the exciting ways COD serves the community.

Citizens of District 502 should expect the latest issue about every four months.

Among the stories in the first issue of impact, readers will learn about 39-year-old freshman Jermaine Townes, the Desert Storm veteran recently featured on CNN and in the Chicago Tribune for playing his first season of college basketball at COD. They will also learn about homeland security and how COD is leading the nation in emergency response training facilities.

“Impact demonstrates the true ‘return on investment' COD provides to taxpayers,” said COD President Robert L. Breuder. “We intend to deliver a fun, multimedia experience that delves deep into the stories at College of DuPage that directly impact members of our community.”

Beyond the printed version, a new interactive impact website will provide additional information about the feature stories, complemented by related links, photos and videos.
