Jim Peterik and World Stage at the Mac Jan. 15

When Jim Peterik calls his friends for a jam session, patrons of the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn, get to spend an evening with some of the best musicians around.

In a career spanning more than three decades, Peterik co-wrote songs for Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, Cheap Trick, Sammy Hagar, Brian Wilson and REO Speedwagon. Also a successful solo artist, Peterik draws on years of experience and musical collaborations to create a unique rotating list of artists for Jim Peterik and World Stage.

The Berwyn native continues that collaboration, bringing a new mix of artists to the MAC Mainstage for an 8 p.m. concert on Saturday, Jan. 15.

Also, concert-goers shouldn't count out any last-minute additions to the bill. Because when Peterik calls on friends for a jam session, the rock world answers.
