Oct. 15: Politics will take center stage at The Second City's CLC show

Need a laugh during election season? The Second City, Chicago's legendary sketch and improv comedy theater, returns Oct. 15 to the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at College of Lake County with "Free Speech! (While Supplies Last)," an irreverent look at America's electoral insanity.

This topical new show features political satire made famous by Second City stars like Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert and Keegan-Michael Key. It includes brand new scenes, songs and improv straight from their sold out shows in Chicago and Toronto.

Politics and politicians are a funny lot, and The Second City's pro-comedy platform stands firm on the foibles, gaffes, virtues (or lack thereof), of both sides of the aisle.

"This must-see evening of comedy features some of Chicago's best and brightest in a very special return engagement," said Gwethalyn J. Bronner, executive director of the James Lumber Center. "The Second City is celebrating nearly six decades of producing cutting-edge satirical revues and continues to launch the careers of comedy superstars."
