Burlington Central 35, Rock Falls 26: Shelby Holt had 11 points to lead Burlington Central (6-1) to a Big Northern crossover win.
Grayslake Central 40, Hampshire 39: The Whip-Purs lost their eight game without a win, but fell for the fifth time by fewer than 10 points. Jenny Dumoulin led Hampshire with 23 points in the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division loss.
McHenry 38, Dundee-Crown 33: Jillian Weichmann had 11 points to lead Dundee-Crown (0-8, 0-1) in a Fox Valley Conference Valley Division loss.
Harvest Christian 42, Luther North 34: Kylee Knox scored 20 points to lead the Lions to their first win of the season in Northeastern Athletic Conference action. Knox made 8 of 11 from the free-throw line. "Kylee had a great game," said Harvest coach Kelly Friestad. "She went hard to the basket and then made her free throws down the stretch. It was a great team win." Anneliese Herman, Rachel Oostdyk and Morgan Lockwood added 6 points each for the Lions (1-3, 1-0).
U-High 52, Elgin Academy 26: Rachel Cain scored 10 points for the Hilltoppers (5-4, 1-1) in an Independent School League loss.
Geneva 55, Elgin 7: Kristin Tayag had 5 points for the Maroons (3-7, 0-3) in the Upstate Eight River.
