The Elgin girls volleyball team registered its first Upstate Eight Conference River Division win of the season Tuesday night, downing Streamwood 22-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Jackie Shioli had 7 kills and Maggie Powers served 5 aces to lead the Maroons (2-23-2, 1-4). Christine Tayag added 8 assists and Hope Demel had 4 kills and 11 assists for Elgin.

Huntley d. Jacobs: Huntley pulled off a mild Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win, 19-25, 25-17, 31-29. Elily Westermeyer (8 kills, 2 aces), Erin Lyman (12 kills), Kelsey DeWulf (20 assists, 14 digs) and Rachel Shores (16 digs) led the Red Raiders (11-15, 3-5). Alyssa Ehrhardt had 14 kills, 9 digs and 6 aces and Katie Kasper had 11 digs for the Golden Eagles. Taylor Lauder (13 assists, 10 digs), Maris Smith (3 kills, 7 digs), Rachel Arceneaux (3 kills), Mackie Trauv (12 assists, 4 digs), Katie Mahoney (4 kills) and Bridget Wallenberger (3 kills, 3 blocks) also contributed for Jacobs (25-7, 6-3).

St. Edward d. Westminster Christian: Katie Swanson had 8 kills and Rena Ranallo added 4 kills, 6 digs and 3 aces as the Green Wave won 26-24, 25-10 in nonconference action. Shannon Igielski (5 kills) and Casey Gredzieleski (23 assists, 3 aces) also contributed for St. Edward (13-15).

Harvest Christian d. IMSA: Jordan Sollars had 7 kills and 3 aces and Sydney Doby added 4 kills as the Lions rolled to their 15th straight win, 25-9, 25-15 in Northeastern Athletic Conference action. Erica Manusos added 7 aces and Katelyn Floyd had 10 assists for Harvest Christian (20-3, 8-0).

Cary-Grove d. McHenry: Alex Larsen had 9 kills and Micah Duzey added 4 aces and 7 digs to lead the Trojans (17-13, 5-5) to a 25-17, 25-12 win in the FVC Valley.

Geneva d. Larkin: Olivia Kofie had 9 kills and 7 digs and Brianna Stewart added 10 kills and 3 blocks for Larkin in a 25-21, 25-22 Upstate Eight River loss. Alyssa McGhee added 12 digs and 20 assists for the Royals (17-15, 3-3).

Burlington Central d. Harvard: Karrington Bell served 5 aces and had 5 digs and Lexie Bouza added 4 aces, 9 digs, 4 kills and 2 blocks to lead the Rockets to a 25-12, 25-10 Big Northern East win. Allie O'Reilly had 7 digs and 2 aces and Caiti Seibert added 4 kills, 2 aces and 5 digs for Burlington Central (20-7, 10-1).

Neuqua Valley d. South Elgin: Amanda Nadler had 3 kills and Corbin Kehe 8 assists to lead South Elgin (13-8-3, 3-2) in a 25-18, 25-19 UEC Valley loss.

Metea Valley d. Bartlett: Rachel Hartford had 5 digs for Bartlett (4-22, 1-3) in a 26-24, 25-15 UEC Valley loss.

Elgin Academy d. North Shore Country Day: Brigette Keslinke had 7 aces, 5 kills and 11 digs and Calire Fugiel added 9 digs, 5 kills and 4 aces as the Hilltoppers won in the Independent School League. Kaitlyn Pearson added 6 digs, 5 assists and 4 kills and Trennedy Kleczewski had 3 digs and 13 assists for Elgin Academy (12-11, 4-4).

Johnsburg d. Hampshire: Arianna Rowinski had 9 kills and 10 digs and Julianna Gass added 9 digs to lead Hampshire in a 25-21, 25-13 FVC Fox loss.
