Burlington Central d. North Boone: Karrington Bell had 7 aces and 7 digs and Brenda Thasavong added 4 blocks and 4 kills to lead the Rockets to a 25-19, 25-10 Big Northern East win. Hayley Brake (4 kills), Samantha Bohne (9 digs) and Allie O’Reilly (3 aces, 13 assists) also contributed for BC (10-7, 2-0).

Guerin d. St. Edward: Katie Swanson (5 kills), Sarah Normal (5 kills) and Callie Johnson (4 kills) led St. Edward (11-5, 4-1) in a Suburban Christian Gold loss.

Elgin Academy d. Faith Lutheran: Claire Fluegel had 4 kills, 7 digs and 11 points while Bridgette Keslinke added 7 kills, 8 digs and 5 points as Elgin Academy (4-7) won 25-8, 25-7 in nonconference action. Angie Martinez added 12 assists, 4 digs and 4 points for the Hilltoppers.
