Help Anderson Humane rescue 100 beagles

Anderson Humane is participating in the national efforts to rescue 4,000 beagles from a breeding and research facility in Virginia that was recently found guilty of dozens of federal regulation violations, resulting in dogs being ill, injured, underfed, and, in the worst cases, dead.

Anderson Humane has committed to taking in 100 dogs and helping them find safe, loving, and happy homes.

Staff are making the trip to Virginia to bring these dogs back to the Chicago area in early August.

The 100 beagles will need foster homes, as soon as early August, until they find a permanent home. These animals need your help to see them through this life-changing transition from lab dogs to lap dogs.

People interested in fostering these beagles or other animals in need of a temporary home should contact fosters@ahconnects.org or go to ahconnects.org/beagles/.

If you are interested in adopting a beagle, call (847) 697-2880 or visit ahconnects.org/beagles/ to be added to the list.

You can also sponsor a beagle, ensuring they receive all the care they deserve. A $250 donation sponsors one adult beagle. A $500 donation sponsors the care of a litter of pups, and a $1,000 donation sponsors the costs of a pregnant mother.
