Local car dealers to host 2022 BBQ for the Troops on July 16 to raise funds for USO Illinois

Chicago area new-car dealers will host the 10th annual USO Barbecue for the Troops fundraiser on Saturday, July 16.

Dealers throughout the suburbs and Chicago are rallying their communities to say thank you to those who have been serving on the home front and front lines around the world.

All donations go to the USO Illinois.

Area residents can show support by visiting a participating dealer on July 16 or during July.

For the past nine years, Chicagoland's new-car dealers have led the charge in supporting hometown heroes by hosting Barbeque for the Troops community fundraisers for USO Illinois.

Since the program's inception in 2013, dealers have raised more than $950,000 for local military and their families. They are looking to make it to $1 million for 2022.

Participating dealers and the USO Illinois are also giving people the opportunity to nominate someone deserving of the Ultimate At-Home BBQ via a social media contest.
