Naper Settlement kicks off annual Naper Nights concert series June 17-18
Naper Settlement's annual Naper Nights Community Concert Series kicks off its 2022 season with local and national tribute acts performing the hits of Prince, Bob Marley & The Wailers, and more. The first weekend of concerts will be Saturday and Sunday, June 17-18, from 5-10 p.m.
Naper Nights celebrates historic milestones in rock music and pop culture with themed tribute concerts on two nights each month in June, July, and August. A variety of food, wine, beer, and a new seltzer selection will be available at each concert.
June 17's lineup includes performances by Chicago Soul Revue, a soul music tribute from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Gabriel Sanchez Presents: The Prince Experience, a tribute to Prince from 8 to 10 p.m.
On June 18, Soul 2 the Bone will play a mix of Motown and R&B songs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. At 8 p.m. that night, One Drop Redemption, featuring Wailer and two-time Grammy nominee Josh David Barrett, will perform a tribute to Bob Marley & The Wailers.
Both concerts will open each night with local students from the School of Rock playing their favorites on the Naper Nights stage from 5-5:40 p.m.
Local food vendors include Seoul Taco, Ben & Jerry's, Everdine's Grilled Cheese, Little Pops Pizzeria, Guzman y Gomez, and John's Rib House. Beer selections from Alter Brewing Company as well as wine selections from Rodney Strong Vineyards and Knotty Vines will be available.
A new organic tequila seltzer, Freshie, will be available at the concerts. A children's area with activities provided by Pinot's Palette, WickedBall Chicago, PRO Martial Arts, and Naper Settlement will also be on site.
Tickets are $20 or $15 for youth, ages 4-12. Members and children under age 4 receive complimentary admission.
