COD offers childcare for student parents this spring

The College of DuPage Early Childhood Education Center is offering a Childcare Services Pilot Program for the spring 2011 semester.

Funded in part by an Illinois Community College Student Success grant, the pilot program provides childcare for 2-, 3- and 4-year-old children while their parents are attending class or labs at the College of DuPage Glen Ellyn campus. Childcare will also be offered in the evening for children age 5 to 10 years. Children must be registered for this program before the spring semester begins on Thursday, Jan. 13.

Childcare Services for Students is located in the ECEC building, west of Lambert Road between College and Circle drives. Evening childcare will be located in Building K, Room 106, at the southwest corner of Fawell Boulevard and Lambert Road. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 5 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays, and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fridays,

COD student parents must submit a copy of his/her schedule at the time of registration. Children may be enrolled for a maximum of five hours per day and a minimum of one hour. A current health examination and proof of age will be required for all children. Fees per child will not exceed $5 per hour.
