30th annual Ramble sets off June 12

On Sunday, June 12, ramble along 30-, 50-,70- or 100-mile routes on scenic rural roads in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois in the 30th annual BCLC Ramble.

Start from Kenosha County Fairgrounds, 30820 111th St., Wilmot, Wis.

Early registration is $17 on www.active.com, through Friday, June 10.

Registration is $25 on the day of the event, from 6 to 10 a.m. Routes open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Your Ramble fee includes marked roads with support, rest stops, food, live music, showers and post-ride cookout.

The Ramble is sponsored by the Bicycle Club of Lake County Illinois. For information, visit www.bikebclc.com.

The Ramble draws 600-700 riders, mostly from Lake and Cook counties. It is based in Libertyville. Its mission is to provide free recreational bicycling programs in Lake County, and to support bicycle advocacy organizations on state and national levels.
