West Suburban Vision Therapy organizes Youth Art Drive for seniors

West Suburban Vision Therapy, a vision therapy practice serving the western suburbs, will host its inaugural youth arts and crafts drive to benefit the Cordia Senior Residence Center of Westmont.

Now through August, young artists may submit original works of art to West Suburban Vision Therapy, who will set up the art display at Cordia in September.

West Suburban Vision Therapy is offering free art supplies, including canvas, paint, paper and crayons, to interested participants.

"Having been a Westmont business for over 60 years, being able to contribute to and make a difference in our community is very important to our team," said Dr. David Maze, O.D., FCOVD, FAAO. "We are dedicated to celebrating and improving vision for all people, and hope this art drive engages young artists and brings more color and beauty to the residents at Cordia."

The art drive is free and open to the public. It begin Saturday, July 31, with an open house event for West Suburban Vision Therapy's new vision therapy center at 801 N. Cass Ave, Suite 203, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The vision therapy center opened in August 2020 and treats patients for a wide range of vision-related conditions outside of basic vision care. The open house event is also free and open to the public.
