Fun on the menu this fall with St. Charles Singles Club

The St. Charles Singles Club is offering exciting activities this fall. All singles, age 40 and older, are welcome to participate.

Join them for dancing at Villa Olivia in Bartlett on the second and fourth Mondays each month. Dance lessons are offered at 6:30 p.m. on many of the dance nights and DJ Fast Freddy provides the dance music from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Dressy casual attire requested; jeans are not allowed.

Take advantage of the beautiful area parks and forest preserves with us this fall. "Breakfast in the Park" is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, from 8 a.m. to noon at Fabyan Forest Preserve on Route 25, between Route 38 and Fabyan Parkway, opposite the windmill; contact Marianne Malone or Val Popeck at (630) 330-3073 for details.

On Sunday, Oct. 11, the Chili Cook-off will kick off at 9 a.m. at the north pavilion in Wheeler Park, 101 North St. Geneva. The cost is $3; bring a dish to pass. For information, contact Linda Lydon at (847) 312-4622.

"Opera in Focus" is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1:30 p.m. Meet at Sam's of Arlington, 1863 W. Central Road in Arlington Heights, at 11:30 a.m. for lunch and continue to the puppet opera at 3000 Central Road in Rolling Meadows. Attendees must pay by Friday, Oct. 2 to reserve a seat.
