IC parish schools unveil newly renovated locker rooms

The Immaculate Conception Parish schools, which include IC Grade School and IC High School, are pleased to announce the renovation of the men's and women's locker rooms, which are part of the IC Gymnasium facility that is used for Physical Education classes and athletic contests for both schools. This project, which began in June, was the first major renovation to the locker room facilities since they were built in 1961.

On September 12th, Immaculate Conception Pastor, Father Tom Paul, along with IC Grade School Principal Cathy Linley and IC High School President/Principal Pamela Levar, gathered with a small group of students to offer a blessing for the new facilities. After a brief prayer, the students joined together to cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark the “grand opening” of the locker rooms. Immaculate Conception students, athletes, and visitors will now experience an enhanced environment which was designed to improve aesthetics, access and facilities.

Renovation highlights include:

• Newly painted walls and finishes from top to bottom

• New restroom fixtures

• Restructured shower areas

• New lighting

• New lockers

• Enhanced ventilation and plumbing

• New HVAC Ventilation system

• A/C in faculty/coaches offices

• Caged storage areas

• New glass block windows
