Writing Workshop to Cover Heroes, Villains and Suspense

Fiction writers of all levels are welcome to participate in a free workshop, "Heroes and Villains and Suspense: Keeping Readers Up All Night," from 6:30-9 p.m., Friday, April 7 in the Rasmussen North Room at the Schaumburg Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd. Offered by the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), this program will be co-presented by author and publishing house editor Lara Helmling and author Randall Allen Dunn. Attendees will leave with enhanced skills for building suspense, based on strategies taught by award-winning author Libby Hellmann at the March meeting, however; attendance at the March meeting is not a prerequisite. Additionally, participants will receive useful tips for developing three-dimensional heroes and villains. Both workshop sessions will benefit writers of all genres.

Writers do not have to be ACFW members to attend, and no fee is required. Anyone planning to attend should RSVP on the ACFW Chicago Chapter Facebook page or call ACFW Chicago Chapter President Lara Helmling at (877) 881-2133 for information on what to bring to the workshop.
