COD to Host European Film Festival Sept. 28 to Oct. 1

The European Studies Committee at College of DuPage will present its annual European Film Festival Sept. 28 to Oct.1 in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the College's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., in Glen Ellyn.

This event is free and open to the public.

Participants interested in entering the Short Film Contest can submit a one- to two-minute video in a European language with English subtitles. Entries must be uploaded to YouTube and participants must submit a link to their film via email to Melissa Gomez at gomezm12@cod.edu by Sept. 23. Gift certificates of $100, $50 and $25 will go to the top three entrants.

This free event will feature award-winning films from France, Germany, Italy and Spain, as well as screenings of winning entries of the Short Film Contest. All films will be shown with English subtitles.

• Monday, Sept. 28, will feature the Spanish film "También la lluvia" from 1 to 4 p.m.

• Tuesday, Sept. 29, will feature the German film "Norwand" from 1 to 4 p.m.

• Wednesday, Sept. 30, will feature the French film "Les Visiteurs" from 1 to 4 p.m.

• Thursday, Oct.1, will feature the Italian film "Johnny Stecchino" from 1 to 4 p.m.
