Enjoy Global Textiles Trunk Show plus live concert for Fine Line Weekend

Experience and shop in a global textile marketplace when the ClothRoads Trunk Show brings a range of beautiful items from around the world right here to Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles.

On Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2 and 3, see hundreds of artisan-made textiles including: hats, gloves and socks from Peru and Estonia; silk scarves from India, Laos, Madagascar and Uzbekistan; and indigo textiles from Mali, Japan, Peru, Indonesia and Laos.

Each piece is made by artisans with a tradition of expressing their fine craft through making cloth, natural dyeing methods, stunning weaving techniques, spinning, printing, knitting and more.

Go behind the scenes at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with a special presentation, "Sustaining Vibrant Global Artisans' Communities," presented by Marilyn Murphy.

Shop and learn during this two-day event. You're sure to find something unique and irresistible for yourself, as well as many great gifts.

A truly special treat is in store that Saturday evening, when folk singers Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen bring their music to Fine Line.

These two singer-songwriters have been performing together for over 25 years. Accompanying themselves with guitars and concertinas, their live performances are known for rich harmony, compelling songs, and a good dose of humor. Their six duet albums have appeared on many Top Ten folk music lists, from WFMT to The Boston Globe.

Come spend the weekend at Fine Line for a truly unique, all encompassing cultural experience.

The ClothRoads Trunk Show will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, and 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Fine Line Creative Arts Center, 37W570 Bolcum Road in St. Charles.
