Make A Difference Day

On Oct. 26, Gannett Healthcare Group -- your neighbor in the Hoffman Estates community -- will take part in a national Make A Difference Day event to assist a local charity, The Friends of Nathan Foundation. Team members from Gannett Healthcare Group -- the publishers of Nurse.com online and Nurse.com, Today in PT and Today in OT magazines that are distributed to healthcare professionals across the country -- will be assembling Rita Angelini's Leap into Literacy adaptive books and distributing them to local libraries. The books are used by children with cerebral palsy, autism, downs syndrome and other debilitating conditions and make classic children's stories more accessible for those with special needs.
