Gannet Healthcare Hosts Oct 26th Make A Difference Day in Hoffman Estates

Make A Difference Day

On Oct. 26, Gannett Healthcare Group – your neighbor in the Hoffman Estates community – will take part in a national Make A Difference Day event to assist a local charity, The Friends of Nathan Foundation. Team members from Gannett Healthcare Group – the publishers of Nurse.com online and Nurse.com, Today in PT and Today in OT magazines that are distributed to healthcare professionals across the country – will be assembling Rita Angelini's Leap into Literacy adaptive books and distributing them to local libraries. The books are used by children with cerebral palsy, autism, downs syndrome and other debilitating conditions and make classic children's stories more accessible for those with special needs.

Approximately 30 volunteers will be on hand Oct.26 at the Hilton Garden Inn Hoffman Estates at 2425 Barrington Road, Hoffman Estates. Gannett Healthcare Group, Rita Angelini, and The Friends of Nathan Foundation (a 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit Corp) welcomes your help in assisting at the Oct. 26 event.

Here's how you can help:

• We welcome local businesses to join us with financial support for Rita Angelini's work through The Friends of Nathan Foundation.

• Rita Angelini's Leap into Literacy effort needs office supplies to continue her important project. Rita can be reached at rtangel8@yahoo.com

Local media outlets and the community's cable-access TV station also will be invited to cover our event.
