VH’s Overbeck wins Campbell Invite

Art Campbell invite: Vernon Hills’ Vivian Overbeck (19:09.9) edged Lakes’ Kortney Schardt (19:10.0) to win the Lake County race Tuesday.

The top-five finishers also included Lake Forest’s Claire Yandell (19:24.4), Lake Zurich’s Meaghan Gelinas (19:25.6) and Stevenson’s Jessica Phillipp (19:28.3).

Grayslake Central’s Korina Gomez (19:32.6) was sixth, while Vernon Hills’ Cassie Lira (19:37.4) was seventh. Team-champ Libertyville placed two runners in the top 10: Kristi Del Prato (19:47, ninth) and Emily Olson (19:50, 10th).

Libertyville (62) and Vernon Hills (72) placed 1-2, with Lake Zurich (75) third.
