Tickets and sponsorships remain available for the 15th annual Elgin Community College Foundation Golf Classic dinner Monday, June 17, at the Prairie Landing Golf Club, 2325 Longest Drive, West Chicago.

The golf classic is one of several major events held by the ECC Foundation to raise funds to support student scholarships, innovative programs and other areas of greatest need in fulfilling ECC’s mission to improve lives through learning.

Since its formation in 1984, the foundation has provided more than $2 million of financial support directly benefiting ECC students through scholarship awards and enhanced academic programming support.

“Our students are so grateful for the educational support they receive from our community through the ECC Foundation,” said Katherine Sawyer, executive director of institutional advancement and the ECC Foundation.

“A number of these scholarship recipients will be on hand at the golf outing to share their personal thanks with event sponsors and guests.”

The classic begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. buffet lunch and a noontime shotgun golf tee-off. Participants also will have the opportunity to bid on live auction items and Fund-A-Student donations to directly support scholarship need during the evening dinner and awards program, which starts with a reception at 5 p.m.

Cost is $375 per person for the entire day and $75 for dinner-only guests.

A very limited number of golfer spots remain available. Sponsorship opportunities are also available beginning at $100.
