Lambs Farm needs volunteers for Popcorn Days

Grab your most comfortable shoes, wear a smile and join Lambs Farm for the 5th Annual Popcorn Days fundraiser on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20.

Volunteers are needed to collect donations at storefronts and intersections in the North and Northwest suburbs. In appreciation, bags of caramel popcorn provided by The Popcorn Factory will be offered to donors.

Volunteers are asked to work three- to four-hour shifts. You may volunteer as an individual or as part of a group of family or friends. Collection sites are in the following communities: Addison, Antioch, Arlington Heights, Barrington, Bloomingdale, Buffalo Grove, Cary, Chicago’s Union Station, Crystal Lake, Deerfield, Elmhurst, Evanston, Glendale Heights, Glenview, Grayslake, Gurnee, Highland Park, Hoffman Estates, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, Lindenhurst, Mount Prospect, Mundelein, Northbrook, Palatine, Round Lake, Round Lake Beach, Schaumburg, Streamwood, Vernon Hills, Waukegan, Wheeling, and Woodstock.

Lambs Farm is also looking for Popcorn Days captains who can, with support from staff, recruit volunteers, identify new locations, drop off supplies and pick up donations at designated collection sites.

Last year, Lambs Farm raised more than $42,000 for our programs and services. With increased volunteer help, this year’s event should be even more successful. For more information on volunteering, or to register, call Kathy McMeins at (847) 990-3749, email kmcmeins@lambsfarm.org or register online at lambsfarm.org.

Lambs Farm is a premier nonprofit organization near Libertyville that provides vocational, residential and recreational programs for people with developmental disabilities they may lead productive and happy lives.
