Join New Philharmonic for 'A Night at the Movies' Feb. 19-20

New Philharmonic's "A Night at the Movies," originally scheduled for Jan. 15-16, has added an livestream option in addition to the concerts now set for this weekend. Maestro Kirk Muspratt will conduct your favorites from award-winning films: "Gone with the Wind," "Band of Brothers," "Beauty and the Beast," "Midway," "Independence Day," "Jurassic Park," "Seahawk," and more.

The in-person concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, in the McAninch Arts Center's Belushi Performance Hall, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

Don't forget to join the post show "MAC Chat with Maestro Kirk Muspratt" after both performances.

The stream will be available live at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, then available on-demand from 10 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20.

The next concert will be "West Side Story" on April 9-10, featuring soprano Brooklyn Snow as Maria, tenor Matthew Greenblatt as Tony, mezzo-soprano Kate Tombaugh as Anita, and baritone Evan Bravos as Riff. Leonard Bernstein's music and Stephen Sondheim's lyrics capture this contemporary retelling of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet that won two Tony Awards and 10 Oscars on the stage and screen.
