Donate to People's Resource Center School Supplies Drive by July 30

The People's Resource Center plans to provide school supplies to 1,000 low-income DuPage County students through its Back to School Supply Drive.

Each year, with generous donations from the community, the People's Resource Center is able to provide everything from backpacks to spiral notebooks to students at no cost.

The center is seeking the help of DuPage County residents to reach its goal. From now through July 30, drop off new school supplies at People's Resource Center in Wheaton or Westmont.

A list of needed school supplies can be found on the PRC website at www.peoplesrc.org/back-to-school-supply-drive/.

Area businesses, churches, etc. are invited to host a Back to School Drive to benefit PRC.

DuPage County neighbors in need of school supplies can sign up on the same web page.

Donations of school supplies are being accepted at PRC's Wheaton location: 201 S. Naperville Road and at the Westmont location: 104 Chestnut Ave.

In addition, donations can be made via PRC's online wish lists through Amazon, Target and Walmart. The wish lists (links on the PRC website) allow individuals to shop online and have materials delivered directly to PRC. Cash donations also help and can be made on the PRC website.

"PRC's Back to School program is one of my favorites," says Tonya Latson, PRC's Director of Social Services. "Similar to last year, our modified drive-thru model will enable us to safely provide 1,000 children with school supplies with the generous support of our neighbors. I'm so glad we are able to continue to connect families with the supports they need."
