Purim celebration at Congregation Etz Chaim

Congregation Etz Chaim of DuPage County will hold its traditionally raucous Purim carnival and service on Wednesday, March 7.

The carnival will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the service will begin at 7 p.m.

The festivities will take place at the synagogue, 1710 S. Highland Ave. in Lombard.

Adults and children are encouraged to come in costume and bring a box of macaroni and cheese to shake as a 'grogger' (noisemaker) whenever evil Haman is mentioned.

All are welcome and admission is free.
