WW South d. Downers Grove South: The Tigers rallied for a season-opening 22-25, 25-14, 25-11 victory in Wheaton behind Shealyn Kolosky's 12 kills, 3 aces, 2 digs and 3 blocks. Amy Drabant had 28 assists, 4 aces, 4 digs and 5 kills.

Waubonsie Valley d. Geneva: Martha Stewart put down 17 kills with 8 digs as the Warriors beat the Vikings 25-23, 25-19 in the Upstate Eight Conference opener. Ally Simmons chipped in 6 kills and 5 blocks and Jill Galovic 7 digs for Waubonsie (4-3, 1-0).

St. Charles East d. Wheaton North: Katie Thornton had 17 assists and Kelsey Ullrich 6 kills and 5 digs for the Falcons (2-3), who fell to St. Charles East 25-20, 25-20.

Glenbard West d. Glenbard East: Amanda Perry had 6 kills, Renee Wharton 5 kills and a block and Tori Clifford 6 digs and 3 aces for the Hilltoppers in a 25-11, 25-19 win. Caleigh Ryan added 17 assists and 3 kills. For Glenbard East Lauren Pusinelli had 3 kills and Mariah Carpio 2 kills and 15 digs.

Lake Park d. Elgin: Nicole Moore had 7 kills and 2 aces and Shannon Moore 4 aces in a 25-10, 25-13 Lancers win. Amanda Ziemek added 5 kills and Alexis Hahn 3 kills and 5 blocks.

Fenton d. Proviso West: Michelle McEvoy had 6 kills and 4 digs and Taylor Pugliese 8 digs for the Bison in a 25-21, 25-19 win.

Hinsdale Central d. Fenwick: Ally Davis had 11 kills and 5 blocks as the Red Devils (4-3) fought off host Fenwick 25-10, 22-25, 25-8. Natalia Skiba added 7 kills, 10 digs and 2 aces and Katarina Milojevic 8 kills and 4 blocks.

Downers Grove North d. Naperville Central: Jessie Tulacka had 10 assists and 5 kills and Gina Gammonley also had 5 kills for the Trojans (2-0) in a 25-20, 30-28 road win.
