The Dundee-Crown boys soccer team handed Crystal Lake South a gift Tuesday night.
Juan Lopez scored an unassisted goal in the first half and then the D-C defense and goalie Edit Fuentes made it stand as the Chargers (4-12-2, 2-8) stunned Cary-Grove 1-0 in Fox Valley Conference Valley Division play.
The loss cost the Trojans (12-3, 8-2) a share of the Valley title. By beating McHenry 1-0, CL South claimed the division crown.

Crystal Lake South 1, McHenry 0: For the first time in 12 years, the Gators (17-3-2, 9-1) won the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division title by defeating McHenry 1-0 at home. The Gators won the championship outright after Cary-Grove was defeated Dundee-Crown. Charlie Oliver's unassisted goal in the first half proved to be all the offense the Gators would need to earn the victory. Crystal Lake South's defense came out strong and played solid defense throughout the entire game. Dave Walsh preserved the shutout in goal with 2 saves.
Neuqua Valley 4, Bartlett 0: The Hawks (12-5, 5-3) fell in Upstate Eight Conference action 4-0 on the road to conference leader Neuqua Valley. Jeff Gal was busy in goal for the Hawks recording 12 saves on the night.
St. Charles North 2, Larkin 0: The Royals (5-12-3, 2-5-1) fell just short in this Upstate Eight Conference match against St. Charles North suffering a 2-0 loss at home. Santiago Guerrero recorded 4 saves in goal for the Royals.
Lake Park 3, Streamwood 0: The Sabres (4-14-4, 0-6-2) remained winless in Upstate Eight Conference action as they were shut out 3-0 on the road against Lake Park. Jose Resendiz got the start in goal for the Sabres recording 8 saves.
Jacobs 1, Huntley 0: After a scoreless first half, the Golden Eagles found the back of the net and it proved to be enough to propel them to a 1-0 Fox Valley (Valley) win over the Red Raiders (8-11-2, 3-7). Sophomore Jonathan Kowalski scored the Golden Eagles' lone goal of the night unassisted in the second half. Danny Trevor and A.J. Pfatschbacher combined for 8 saves in goal for Jacobs while Huntley's Kevin Montelongo recorded 5 saves in goal.
